The Digital Health Industrial Complex

In 1961, President Eisenhower warned of the perils of the emerging military-industrial complex and its potential threat to democracy. While perhaps not on the same scale of gravity, the digital health industrial complex, as some describe, runs the risk of subjecting patients and their doctors to misguided products and services with the result of creating unintended consequences. Many are concerned that the use of artificial intelligence in sickcare is the latest threat.
